The drawing blog of Sarah Beyler.

I probably should have mentioned this a while ago, but I absolutely adore binding my own sketchbooks. I’ve loved the idea of bookbinding ever since I read Inkheart  by Cornelia Funke. One of my favorite characters (besides Dustfinger) had a profession binding books, and i thought it was just the coolest thing.
This is my current sketchbook, which is almost full. Hopefully i can go on a supply run this weekend and stock up on book bits.
i love spending time on little details to make my sketchbooks personal to me. I put a lot of thought into picking out the fabric, paper, thread„and decorations. My sketchbook is the one thing i take with me everywhere, so its incredibly personal. If i were the dark lord, this would definatley be one of my horcruxes.
